Surf Day!

As of last night, i was debating going surfing this morning because nobody else could go and the surf report wasn't showing too much going on. But for some odd reason, i found myself wide awake at 6:30am ready to go. I checked the surf cam and it looked small, but clean and decent, so i put on my suit and headed to IOP.

When i got there, NO ONE else was there and the surf wasn't all that great. I have been wanting to get out for a while, so i went for it anyway. The water was in the low 50's so pretty cold, but i had on my 3/2/2 Matuse Full Suit and 3mil billabong booties and was plenty warm. If you haven't heard of Matuse, check them out HERE! I have never worn such an amazing suit. Make sure to read about the technology they use and what they call "geoprene"...a suit made mostly out of limestone!

So i got to surf for about 45 minutes before the lightning got too bad (i want to be able to get more days on the water in my lifetime!) So less than a hour, but it was all worth it just to get out in the water because as we like to say at Charleston Watersport, "LIFE STARTS WHERE THE WATER BEGINS"

New Location/New Website

The old adage "Change is Good" goes double for the Charleston area staple Charleston Watersport. After almost 12 years at the same location, we're moving! Our new location will be @ 1255 Ben Sawyer Boulevard on the way to the beach. We're excited about the move and plan to expand our offerings at the new location. We're also expanding our services and rentals to include SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) camps and tours along with adding a Kayak Fishing Guide service.

In tandem with the store move, we're launching our new website and e-commerce site. The drive behind this was the great response we had last year with a third party provider.

Stay Tuned! Lot's of great things happening along with maintaining our ties that have made us who we are.
