As of last night, i was debating going surfing this morning because nobody else could go and the surf report wasn't showing too much going on. But for some odd reason, i found myself wide awake at 6:30am ready to go. I checked the surf cam and it looked small, but clean and decent, so i put on my suit and headed to IOP.
When i got there, NO ONE else was there and the surf wasn't all that great. I have been wanting to get out for a while, so i went for it anyway. The water was in the low 50's so pretty cold, but i had on my 3/2/2 Matuse Full Suit and 3mil billabong booties and was plenty warm. If you haven't heard of Matuse, check them out HERE! I have never worn such an amazing suit. Make sure to read about the technology they use and what they call "geoprene"...a suit made mostly out of limestone!
So i got to surf for about 45 minutes before the lightning got too bad (i want to be able to get more days on the water in my lifetime!) So less than a hour, but it was all worth it just to get out in the water because as we like to say at Charleston Watersport, "LIFE STARTS WHERE THE WATER BEGINS"
Make sure you get out sometime this week. The surf is going to be good for the first time in a while. You can check out Magic Seaweed, our Surf CAM, or the Jammercam for visuals on the surf. Have a great week and make sure to get in on our moving sale before we move. Only about 2 weeks left before we are in our new location at 1255 Ben Sawyer blvd.
